The Mustang Diaries: New Student!! Lakota Sioux Arrives and Begins Training!

Welcome, Lakota Sioux! 🐴

We're excited to welcome Lakota Sioux, our newest training student, who arrived at the farm almost two weeks ago!

Lakota has hit the ground running and is absolutely SOARING through her groundwork. Her confidence, willingness to learn, and steady progress are a testament to the hard work and dedication her owner has already invested before arriving for training. Building a solid foundation on the ground is one of the most important steps in creating a safe and successful riding partner, and Lakota is proving just how valuable that preparation can be.

If all goes according to plan, Lakota will be taking her first ride with us this week. However, Mother Nature may have other ideas. With record-breaking temperatures forecast for the remainder of the week, we'll be keeping a close eye on the weather and adjusting our schedule as needed.

The health and safety of our horses always come first. If conditions become too hot, we'll wait for cooler temperatures rather than push ahead. Good training is never rushed, and giving our horses the time and conditions they need to succeed is always worth it.

We're incredibly proud of Lakota's progress so far and can't wait to share updates as she reaches this exciting milestone. Stay tuned!
