The Mustang Diaries: NEW RESIDENT ALERT!

On Friday April 11th we picked up our 4 latest residents from the Swanzey, NH adoption and sale event! I am speechless with how STUNNING they all are! Despite waking up and seeing 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground we made the 40 minute trek North to pick up 2 mares and 2 geldings from the event. Because Swanzey is so close to our home facility we decided to make multiple trips instead of cramming everyone into the same trailer. We made a boys trip and a girls trip, but of course we brought the ladies home first. We had their individual paddocks prepped for our arrival back home, but we let the pairs ride together in the trailer for ease of loading and less stress on them. The only downside is we had to cut and separate them once we got home, which proved to be a bit...exciting, as the both pairs were glued to each other.

We are tentatively looking for name suggestions for these guys, so be sure to leave them in the comments!

This gelding got A LOT of attention at the adoption event. We are thinking of naming him Hades... pending better suggestions

This gelding was GLUED to Hades. The pair of them were totally inseparable at the event and were quite upset to be separated once we got home. We are thinking of naming him Atlas... pending better suggestions.

This picture doesn't do this mare justice. She has clearly been eating well. I think we have decided to appropriately name her Crisco, but are still open to suggestions.

This mare was labeled as sorrel by the BLM but I'm feeling like she's a burnt palomino. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. She belongs to Joe's mom and is her first horse since she was a little girl! Her name is Peaches.
