The Mustang Diaries: Kai-Ju Day 114

Kai's mom/owner brought her saddle down and put another ride on Kai yesterday. Since she is used to riding English, she finally felt in her element on him! Boy, does he look handsome in his new outfit!

Kai was a bit nervous about stepping out and cantering around with the saddle's flaps slapping against him, so he let out some bucks in protest. He then threw himself on the ground and rolled on her new saddle. What a gentleman. Kai quickly learned that bratty behavior gets him put to work, and after a nice, sweaty workout, he settled in and began using the thinking part of his brain. I then rode him briefly and worked him through W/T/C transitions, to which he had nothing bad to say. After I rode, his mom took him for a spin. According to her smile in the pictures I snapped, I think it's safe to say she's pretty happy!
