Axl – Talented Western Performance Prospect

Axl arrived at our facility in June 2025 and quickly made an impression. Named after Axl Rose because of his luxurious long red hair, Axl carries himself with the confidence and presence of a horse that remembers his years as a wild stallion. He is calm, cool, and collected, moving with purpose and grace. While he pays close attention to everything around him, he is not one to overreact or explode, making him a thoughtful and level-headed partner.

Axl is fully halter-broke and has excellent ground manners. He has been extensively handled and currently knows approximately 15 groundwork exercises. His foundation under saddle began in early 2026, and he is now confidently riding at the walk, trot, and canter.

Under saddle, Axl rides in either a hackamore or a single-jointed snaffle. He is soft and supple through his body, responsive to leg yields, and boasts a strong western stop. He has plenty of natural athleticism and forward motion, making him an exciting western performance prospect. Reining, barrel racing, ranch work, and cattle events would all be excellent avenues for this talented gelding.

Axl has been exposed to a wide variety of real-world situations, including traffic, children, dogs, and farm equipment. He is regularly trailered off-property and continues to gain valuable experience with every outing.

Axl's training will continue to progress until the right home is found. He is a unique horse with a bright future ahead of him and is ready for someone who wants to continue developing his potential.
